Sage SALT 10 Wt. rod

I just strung up my new Sage Salt 10Wt. rod.  It casts great and is very light and good looking too.  Be one of the first to try it on my skiff by booking a fall trip with me at www. tarponkeywest.com

Labor Day Trip

I   my regular client , Alan Rivior, on Labor Day.  He brought his buddy Derrick who is new to saltwater flyfishing .  We had shots at tarpon,  permit,  bonefish, jacks, cudas, and sharks.  Also caught a bunch of mangrove snappers.  We had some 20knot plus wind and clouds so it was a challenging three days to say the least.  I had a great time with you guys and look forward to doing it again soon.

I spent two weeks in August flyfishing for trout in Ennis and Missoula , Montana .

I fished everyday  with my buddies who are all guides.  Thanks to capt. Jimi Mckillup, Shawn McNelly , and Eric Shores.  I stayed at capt. Mikey Pollack’s cabins  near

Ennis lake.  Thanks to Mikey and Kelly .Mike Beltz put me up in Missoula  and rowed me down the Clark Fork where we sight casted at lots of nice fish.

I had a great time this summer and am back on the flats chasing permit and bonefish.
